Awards season is up on us, but here at Radio Times we are more interested in our own version — the coveted five-star film rating. Throughout the magazine’s history, we have rated films from one star (poor) to five stars (excellent), and now we have compiled some of our favourites, whittling down over 1,000 titles to a glittering 250.
Across 180 pages, you’ll find films from all genres, dating from the very
beginnings of cinema in 1902 (Georges Méliès’ Le Voyage dans la Lune), all the way up to 2023’s summer blockbusters (including Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer).
